SMF2WP 2.0, Bridge between SMF 2.0.1 RC3 and WordPress 3.2.1

After a long time, finally the plug in is released! Take chance and feed back please!

———————————————–

As you all know, SMF 2.0 was released a long time ago. And still until now, no one has tried to build an API for it. And I can not wait for it to write SMF2WP for SMF 2.0 anymore.

So I decided to write API for SMF 2.0 series on my own, and it will take about a week to finish!

Stay stun, my friend, SMF2WP 2.0 will be released soon, I’m testing with WordPress 3.0.1 and SMF 2.0 RC3!

If you like this please spread words!

Hi, I’ve got WP 3.3.1 and SMF 2.0.2 and everything works beautifully…except that users get registered in WP over and over again. That is there are, for example, several users named User1, same username, same e-mail.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

I am trying to get SMF2WP to work with version 3.3.1 of WP.

I keep getting the error message “This plugin may not work, because you did not uncheck “Enable local storage of cookies” and “Use subdomain independent cookie” in SMF settings!”

Both are unchecked in SMF server settings.

    I’d appreciate some suggestions!

    Thanks

    Bob

Typo: it’s WordPress 3.2.1 that is installed.

    Hi,

I have tried to install this plugin a couple of times, so far without any success.

    The messages:

I’ve tried with a fresh install of SMF 2.0.1 and a fresh WordPress 3.0.1. Even installed SMF under wordpress but I still get the quite annoying:

“SMF2WP has not been configured properly and is not active!”
“This plugin may not work, because you did not uncheck “Enable local storage of cookies” and “Use subdomain independent cookie” in SMF settings!”

The SMF _has_”local storage of cookies” & “subdomain independent cookies” unchecked.

Is there anything more I can do?

    Best regards,

    Thomas Koos

    Getting an error:

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/smf2wp/smf2api.php on line 40

    Any way to fix this?

I got the forum and the plugin installed and setup but it won’t let me login to the wordpress admin side. When I log into wordpress it takes me to the forum. When I try to login to the admin side. Nor does it take my existing wordpress user account and push it to SMF.

    Any help word be appreciated.
